General Director @ Ministry of Research and Innovation
Octaviana Marincaș holds a PhD in Phisical Chemistry and has over 20 years of experience in research and academia and over 3 years in public administration. She pioneered conservation-restoration reasearch in Romania and founded CReART Research Center in 2004 at University of Arts George Enescu Iași. Thus, she was the Project Coordinator and Assistant Director of CReART and led 14 projects. She successful participated into Romanian and international competitions, FP4, EC PHARE, CULTURE 2000 Programme, FP7. With strong antrepreneurial abilities she founded three didactic laboratory for students and had a strong tutorial activity for her students. She was the President of the Evaluation and Quality Assurance Commission for the University of Arts Iasi. She participated as an expert to projects that shaped the National Strategy of Research, Development and Innovation 2014 – 2020 in Romania. As senior councelor at Ministry of Research and Innovation she implemented SEE Financial Mechanism. Being General Director at Research Body she is implementing EU Structural Funds. She is expert at the Ministry of Culture Romania and for the European Commission, evaluating project proposals. During the conference I will talk about how innovative businesses are supported by the public programmes of Romania, and which would be the perspectives for the new programming period (2021-2027).
