Radu Mititean is a founding partner of the Law Firm MMC and member of the Cluj Bar since 2011. He has extensive experience in legal consultancy in the field of IT&C law, IP law, tax law, labor law, commercial / trade law and in other special areas of law, including medical law, personal data protection, environmental law and amending legislation, M&A and investments. Before the career in law, he has gained significant professional experience in the public, business and non-profit sector, including at the international level, as a physician, mountain rescuer, program director, executive director, consultant, expert, trainer and auditor, enabling him to have in-depth and interdisciplinary knowledge of many fields of activity and about the actors in those spheres. He is the author of many publications, a frequent presence in the press, in conferences and public debates, and is a member of numerous committees, consultative structures and non-governmental and professional organizations at local, regional and national level, occupying leading positions and conducting extensive extra-professional activities as volunteer in tourism, sports, civic and environmental spheres. He has a Bachelor's degree in law and medicine, a Master's degree in civil law and has formal training in other areas including environmental protection and management. Digitalisation and free trade have boosted globalization in the last decades, and the IT&C sector is a champion in internationalization, but faces major challenges since unifying the legal framework is lagging far behind, raising even inside the EU significant issues.
